We are excited to share a concept from our studio—a project currently in its conceptual phase that explores the intersection of fine stone carving and bespoke millwork. Always seeking exceptional natural materials, we are collaborating with Mantel House to develop a seamless, hand-carved marble range hood designed to flow directly into our custom European-style cabinetry.
Inspired by the delicate stone drapery sculpted by classical masters such as Giovanni Strazza and Giuseppe Sanmartino, our goal was to capture that same sense of weightless fluid form in solid marble for a contemporary residential kitchen.
Precision Engineering and Cabinetry Integration
Translating a complex artistic vision into a functional, structural kitchen element requires meticulous shop drawings and custom engineering. To support the weight of carved marble while maintaining clean sightlines, our shop engineered a complete structural solution.
• Custom Wood Substrate: Fabricated in-house to securely house and enclose the ventilation appliance unit.
• Stainless Steel Support Plate: Engineered to transfer load, protect the stone, and support the underside of the range hood.
• Heavy-Duty Wall Blocking & Brackets: Anchored structural supports ensuring precise alignment with surrounding custom wall cabinets.
• Mastic Bonding Systems: Formulated specifically for high-durability marble integration.
